Douglas has an eclectic approach to photography and enjoys trying to capture interesting and memorable shots wherever and whatever he is doing. Member of RPS Landscape Group, running one of their print portfolio groups, co-leader of a local U3A Photography Group and volunteer photographer at the National Arboretum, Westonbirt. |

19th | Members Evening – “Famous for 5 Minutes” – Each club member shares the 5 images from their portfolio that they are most proud of (DPI or Print). |
26th | Print competition – Open. Judge – Alistair Richie from Backwell Camera Club. Alistair is newly qualified in 2023 so we can expect a fresh and new approach to judging |

2nd | Photobooth Evening – Members bring items to photograph for Macro, Still life etc. Let’s get creative! |
9th | Committee member Jeff Barber presents a Technical Workshop. Submissions due for DPI Competition – Less is More. |
16th | “Show us your images!”. An opportunity for members to show how creative they were at the Photobooth evening. |
23rd | DPI Competition – Less is More. Removing clutter and a filled frame, think minimalism, the bare bones. Judge – Alan Denison from Frome Wessex Photographic. |
30th | Members Evening – “Someone else is famous for 5 minutes”. Each club member brings along 5 images by any photographer that inspires you, amuses you or makes you stop and think! (DPI, Print or it could even be a book by your favourite photographer). |

7th | Christmas Social – Something a bit different this year, we will be having a sit-down Christmas meal. The chosen pub is the The Farmhouse at Southwick. |
14th | Time Lapse Photography by Ben Maliphant. Bristol based visual artist Ben introduces us to the incredible world of Time Lapse Photography and teaches us how we can do it for ourselves. |
21st | Members Evening – Critique Evening. Bring along your prints or digital images, particularly any you feel may benefit from a different perspective or advice on how to improve them. An open discussion with helpful and constructive advice from your fellow photographers. |

4th | Eddy Lane – Lockdown Wiltshire Wildlife . A welcome return to our good friend and local photographer, Eddy Lane. This is a new presentation of spectacular images that Eddy has taken in his own backyard. |
11th | Members Evening – It’s A Knock Out. Tonight we are the judges. Prints from your archive or something new. A series of Knock out rounds to decide the ultimate winner! Submissions due for “Looking Up Or Down” Print Competition. |
18th | Annual General Meeting – All members are invited to attend this important AGM meeting to discuss the future of the club, re-elect committee and club admin positions etc. |
25th | Print Competition – “Looking Up Or Down”. Tonight, our club is very fortunate to have as our judge an extremely experienced international WCPF judge, Sandie Cox ARPS, DPAGB. |

1st | Peter Rose from Western Audio Visual Enthusiasts presents a highly entertaining and informative evening about the work of the WAVES group. Formed in 1996, the objective of WAVES is to encourage and promote the understanding, study and practice of the art of Audio-Visual Sequences. |
8th | Tony Cooper – Early French Photography. A welcome return to Tony from the Bath-based Photographic Arts Collective. Tonight Tony talks to us about photographers working in Paris during the first third of the 20th century. |
15th | Tom Ford – “There They Stand, Isolated, Majestic, Imperious”. Tonight Tom shares his incredible images of abandoned UK Asylums. The Victorian Asylum is a system that has long gone and it is doubtful that such a system will exist again. An evening of fascinating images and historical interest is guaranteed. Submissions due for DPI competition “Bad Weather”. |
22nd | Photoshoot: Natasha Jones who runs a local dance school, NJ Dance, will be bringing some of her pupils for a photoshoot. There will be a selection of ages and styles including jazz, tap ballet, acro and commercial. |
29th | DPI competition “Bad Weather”. Tonight our judge will be Bristol-based photographer Simon Caplan LRPS. Simon is a member of Bristol Photographic Society and the Bristol Creatives Group. |
