For the 2024/25 season we will be running competitions as one group for the whole club i.e. there will be no Group A or Group B.
Entries must be the competitor’s own work but may be commercially printed.
Members are allowed to enter TWO Mono and TWO Colour images into each point scoring Competition. All images to be marked 1st to 4th choice as entries will be limited to 80 on the night. If over-subscribed the 4th choice will be excluded, followed by 3rd choice etc to ensure that there are no more that approximately 80 entries, the final number being the decision of the relevant Competition Secretary.
For the Flora and Fauna competition only colour images will be judged, therefore up to 4 colour images may be submitted.
We shall be using the WCPF competition rules for guidance on the use of image creation and processing tools (sometimes labelled as “AI”) – for a link to a copy of that guidance click here.

Commercial prints of author’s own work are allowed for all competitions.
Entries for competitions MUST be made available to the relevant Competition Secretary, or other named member, by the closing dates given for the competition. Responsibility for this rests with the entrant. The relevant Competition Secretary and/or Committee reserve the right to reject entries which they consider do not comply with these rules.
New competition scoring for 2024/25.
Each entry will receive a score from the judge, ranging from 1 to 15. All images entered by each member will be scored, and all scores will be registered in the league tables for the year.
Some competitions have trophies associated with them. For these competitions the judge will choose what they consider to be the best image, whether colour or mono.
After each competition, the scores will be posted on the club website in the league tables along with all images scoring 13 and above.
Prints and projection images re-use.
Images which receive scores of 15, 14 or 13 points in club competitions cannot be re-entered for future club competitions, however they may be used in other external competitions, or inter-club competitions.
Images scoring less than 13 points are eligible for re-entry into future club competitions, but there must be a gap of at least one competition between those entries.
