19thTechnical Evening presented by Kevin Crosbie entitled Photography Basics – Getting Off Auto. This is an updated version of Kevin’s useful guide to the basics of photography. Something for everyone, even experienced photographers.
Submissions Due for DPI competition – “Open” (Any subject or genre of photography allowed). A very popular competition and an excellent one to kick off the season of competitions.
26th“Now You See It, Now You Don’t” by Martin Cooper LRPS – A talk in three parts. As a photographer mainly specialising in landscape and elements of the landscape, Martin’s talk consists of such images in colour, mono and abstract/impressionist form.

3rdDPI Competition – “Open” (Any subject, any genre).
Our Judge, Lee Spencer-Fleet BA (Hons), Photoshop ACE, FAETC, works from her Bristol home studio and has taught Digital Photography & Photo Editing for many years. She’s been involved in courses and talks on the camera club circuit and is competent in sharing creative & technical knowledge. A friendly, self-starting novice judge with an eye for detail.
10thMembers Evening – A regular opportunity for any member or number of members to showcase their work, talk about a photography related subject, show the work of a photographer they admire or are inspired by etc. A very informal evening and each member can present as little, or as much as they feel able to provide.

24thCritique Evening – An evening spent discussing TCC member images whether DPI or prints in an informal, supportive and non-competitive environment.
An excellent opportunity to pick up some tips on images being considered for submission to future competitions.
31stPrint Competition – “Landscape/Seascape”
Judge – Martin Cooper LRPS. A quick and welcome return to landscape specialist Martin, who previously inspired us earlier in the season with his Landscape images.

7thTechnical Evening – Adobe Lightroom Masterclass by Jeff Barber. Jeff is a very experienced Lightroom user and the evening will be full of tips and advice on how to get great results from this very popular photo editing software.
14th“Have Camera Will Travel” by Bob Bishop EFIAP/p, BPE5, LRPS. This talk covers several genres including landscape, a trip to Burma, street, a model shoot and event photography. Bob also breaks down some of the images to show how they have been edited to achieve the final result.

21stMember’s Evening – Photo Shoot Show. Members produce a short (5 minutes max) DVI slide show created from images taken at the session with the Wiltshire Caledonian Pipes & Drums on 17th October. Lets get creative!
28thDPI Competition – “Open” (Any Subject Any Genre).
A welcome return to Alistair Ritchie from  Backwell Camera Club. Alistair is interested in all aspects of photography, particularly studio work, dance/music/street and nature. Being no great stickler for rules and more driven by the emotional impact of an image, Alistair is an excellent choice for our Open themed competition.

5thPhoto Walk – An evening walk around Trowbridge. Capture those Christmas lights and festive excesses around the town. It may not snow, but lets hope it’s dry!
12thCompetition – “Dick’s Trophy” (ENPRINT challenge). Any Subject – images with impact that work with smaller PRINT format. The definition of ENPRINT is as follows:

enPRINT (ˈɛnprɪnt)
noun: (Photography) a standard photographic PRINT (5 × 3.5 in.)
Bring your prints on the night (4 maximum). Judged by the members. Any subject presented in the traditional ENPRINT format.
19thChristmas Social – Venue to be confirmed.

January
2ndOn line meeting (Zoom). Christmas photos – show us your Turkeys (and all the trimmings), tasteless Christmas jumpers and over the top decorations. There may even a prize for the photo that best encapsulates “The Spirit of Christmas”. Maybe some images from the photo walk on the 5th December.
9thMembers Evening – “My Favourite Photographers”. Club members Nick, Jill and Jane present a selection of  images taken by photographers that inspire and influence their photographic style. The evening is also open to all other members who would like to contribute by bringing some images that similarly inspire them.
16thAnnual General Meeting (AGM) – Open to all Members to discuss the future of the club and vote on Committee Members. Please consider if you would like to contribute to the club by offering to be a Committee Member and/or take on one of the key administrative roles. (Chair Person, Print Secretary, Programme Secretary etc.)
Submissions due for Print Competition – “Flora & Fauna”. We have revised the rules to allow up to 4 colour entries rather than the normal 2 colour, 2 mono.
23rdGrand Auction Night! All of us have photographic gear lying around that we no longer need. Tonight is an opportunity to pass it onto your fellow club members. Not limited to cameras and lenses items for auction – can include small accessories, mounts, books, camera bags, tripods etc. In fact anything photography related. There will also be an entirely optional opportunity to donate a % of any sale to club funds.
30thPrint Competition – “Flora & Fauna” (Colour entries only) – Following feedback from previous judges, the committee has decided that the tendency for images in this genre to be primarily colourful, the mono category has been removed.
Our Judge will be Eddy Lane. A very warm welcome to Eddy who returns to our club bringing his considerable experience judging this category.

6thMembers evening: Wendy Evans gives a presentation on “How to get your work published in magazines and books”. Wendy works for a magazine publisher and in that role selects and commissions readers to have their images published. Having judged competitions in London and had 13 books published, Wendy is well placed to talk about this different and intriguing aspect of photography.
