The Club

Our membership covers a wide age range, including families. It doesn’t matter whether you use a smartphone, point & shoot or the latest high end camera. We welcome people of all abilities and aspirations. If you just want to share pictures of your holidays, the dog or even your garden fence that’s fine by us.

We are keen to encourage new members, especially those who are trying to learn about photography. If you have a question about any aspect of photography all you need to do is ask! If the person you ask doesn’t know they will be able to direct you to someone who does.

Get your images reviewed

We organise competitions throughout the year. – the main competition has four rounds for both Prints and Projection Images, and is held across the season. These are very popular with our members and are keenly contested! Don’t let that put you off though – ‘novices’ have shown fantastic work. It’s also a fantastic way of showing club members your images, your likes and styles.

We encourage members to have a go, as an independent judge will review and provide constructive criticism and feedback. Of course, you don’t need to enter – you can just enjoy seeing other people’s work. We also enter inter-club competitions through our affiliation with The Western Counties Photographic Federation (WCPF).
